In the event of death at home
A doctor must be called. This is usually the doctor who cared for the person shortly before death. Late in the evening, at night and outside clinic opening hours, an emergency medical doctor should be contacted.
The doctor confirms the death and issues a death card. This document is required to obtain a death certificate from the Registry Office. After receiving the death card, contact a funeral home to transport the deceased to a mortuary.
Choosing a company to transport the deceased does not mean that the same company must arrange the funeral. You may choose any funeral home for the ceremony.
